This place is hard to describe. New Mexico in my heart forever ♥

Snow or sand?

This place is a true miracle. The whitest sand I've ever seen. These sand dunes are composed of gypsum crystals. It is the largest of its kind on Earth!

Gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O) dissolves in water over time & therefore it is rarely found in the form of crystals. The conditions in White Sands, New Mexico, are unique & that's why such large amounts of gypsum can be found there.

It's hard to take a bad photo there.

The people of New Mexico are lucky to live so close to such a natural wonder.

I just kept twirling & fooling around. This place gave me energy & happiness.

It was such a long day for both of us. We woke up around 5ish & spent the whole day hiking & road tripping. By the time we reached White Sands Zak's camera was almost out of battery, my memory card was full & I had a huge headache & sunstroke. We were so tired, but still managed to make the most out of it! One of the best days in my life for sure!

Go there before it gets crowded!
